About

Hello, I’m Mark Lemmons and I am a Game Artist & Designer, with a focus in UI and an Environment and Technical Art interest, living in Raleigh, NC. I have over 18 years experience in the video game/training simulator industry, not including my Associates of Applied Science in Digital Animation at the School of Communication Arts in 2006. I have worked on many environmental styles and types; From massive multi-player worlds, realistic simulation environments, to fantasy universes, complex UI/UX flows, and simple mobile apps. I’ve been actively part of many indie/modding teams, working on numerous different projects in my spare time. I enjoy coming up with new ideas and how to work out existing mechanics of a game to make them more fun and tackling technical hurdles that may arise during the project’s lifetime.

My goal is to work as an Artist on exciting games with an awesome team, because I have ample experience in 3D environments, lighting, and UI design; With a growing interest and understanding of game design, development, and project management.

...Mark is an incredibly dedicated, professional and sincere guy and I have honestly never worked with anyone as thorough in outlining details, use cases, accessibility options and team guidance than him. In our last year together at Circadence, we were revising Project Ares for a new better version and Mark lead that development, he managed wireframe designs that included engineer/product owner feedback on every feature and set a style for other artists to follow and collaborate on...

...Creativity is hard because you only know the right answer when you finally see it and often it feels like Mark is the one with the flashlight. I couldn’t even begin to list all the contributions Mark has made but can say that every single one of them was thoughtfully prepared, packaged, documented, diagrammed and ready for integration when he handed them over. It is because of his untiring efforts, and attention to technical detail, scene composition, etc. that we have been able to keep up a high level of momentum with such a small team...

...Mark is precise and he pays attention to each detail in every step of the processes. I saw him evolving his artwork during this almost four years we worked together and the increasing level of complexity he could handle behind his design solutions. He's a great team member, a guy who open-mindedly accepts criticism and evolve with them. He's also a super fun and easy going person!...
